Asilia Africa, a pioneering travel company, operating 18 luxury camps and lodges in Kenya and Tanzania, two days ago, from 27th October 2015, began handling all reservations and marketing for the Ol Pejeta Bush Camp. The camp sits on the 98,842-acre Ol Pejeta Conservancy which boasts one of the most incredible game-to-area ratios of any reserve in Kenya.

The new partnership will see Asilia’s guests enjoy exclusive access to Ol Pejeta’s pioneering conservation efforts. They will also experience the spectacular and little-known great deserts, lakes and mountains of Kenya’s northern frontier.

The conservancy is home to three of the world’s last remaining 4 northern white rhinos and is also a sanctuary for over 120 critically endangered black rhinos.

Ol Pejeta Bush Camp is now part of the Asilia Africa collection

Owned and managed by the legendary Alex Hunter who is well-known for his guiding expertise, the six-tent Ol Pejeta Bush Camp will now add to the Asilia collection’s heritage of hospitality and adventure tourism spanning over three decades. As its newest and most northern camp yet, Ol Pejeta Bush Camp marks the onset of Asilia’s expansion journey across northern Kenya.

Each of the six tents is perfectly spaced along the Ewaso Nyiro River where they all command magnificent views of the jagged peaks of Mount Kenya and when darkness falls, flickering lanterns light the path to supper – the perfect way to enjoy a bush experience that is truly unforgettable yet so unbelievably simple. If you are lucky, before you retire to sleep, you may just catch a glimpse of a rhino strolling down to the river.

Plans are now underway to refurbish and upgrade the camp in time for the new season in June 2016. The upgrade will include two new public area tents with magnificent views of Mount Kenya, plumbed basins, an upgraded power system and contemporary furniture. We cannot wait to hear your views of the new Asilia addition.
