Terminals 1B and 1C at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport have been closed following planned renovations and upgrade by the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA). Meanwhile, all flight operations in the two terminals have migrated to Terminal 1A and Terminal 2. KAA, which owns and operates all civilian airports and airstrips in Kenya, announced last Saturday that it had shut down the two terminals for renovation work which will take a year to complete.
