Did you know that the diplomatic numbers, which are also used as part of vehicle registrations, for foreign embassies here in Kenya were assigned in the order that they recognised Kenya’s independence?

Germany, then known as West Germany, was the first to recognise Kenya’s sovereignty hence the reason it was assigned the number 1CD. Other countries soon followed suit and were assigned numbers in the order they came. Here is the list of embassies in Kenya and their assigned numbers.
